Event descriptions
Here are a few blurbs which have been written to promote the event, or for Events page listings, etc.
Suggestion one
Richard Stallman and Bruce Perens will keynote at this event targetted at fueling transitions towards Free Software solutions in the IT departments of businesses and the public sector. CEOs and CIOs may particularly be interested in the business angle of Bruce Perens, and Richard Stallman will speak on the updating of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3) and "Free Software in Ethics and Practice". Other speakers from the public and private sectors are to be announced soon and there will be many opportunities for networking at the event.
Suggestion two
Richard Stallman and Bruce Perens will keynote in Belfast on March 16th (Thursday). This whole-day event is tailored towards IT decision makers in medium sized businesses and public administration - but the content will have a wide appeal. Among other topics, Richard Stallman will discuss GPL version 3, and will take questions on the current draft and the drafting process. Bruce Perens will deliver a CEO / CIO targetted opening keynote. Other speakers will discuss the practical issues of transitioning to Free Software and there will be opportunities for networking.
Suggestion three
The two biggest names in Free Software and Open Source Software, Richard Stallman and Bruce Perens, will keynote at this business orientated event. Bruce Perens will give an economics perspective, from his experience advising CEOs and CIOs. Richard Stallman will give a rare business-orientated speech, and will discuss the redrafting of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3). Attendees will have opportunities to network and ask questions at what is to be one of the biggest Free Software / Open Source Software gatherings in Ireland.
